Fishlake adventure

This year one of my cousins decided that all the girl cousins should do a get together. This was such a fun idea. They started the planning all the way back in January. She sent out monthly reminders to get us all excited. Cindy did a great job! Well, one month before we are to head up there I realize that school starts that day. I let my Mom know that we could only come on the weekend the last days of the "sisters". McKenzie and I packed our things and headed up to Fishlake Utah. First of all let me say that the google map thing is a piece of poopie! It was telling me to go on roads that do not even exsist. Luckily Kenz and I are very resourceful. We followed signs. It took a genius to figure that one out. We stayed in my Mom's trailer. They had planned out all the meals and everything so that one family was in charge of the meals for one perticular day. The night that we got up there it was my Mom's turn and she had made taco salads. This was so fun to have a different family in charge each day. The meals went off with out a hitch.
Kenz and I went hiking and realized that we are both way out of shape. We had so much fun and hope that they do another one so that we can continue to keep in touch with our relatives!

Proud Mom moment

Today I got to have a proud Mom moment. Brock was awarded the Golden Presidential Award. What is that I wondered. It is an award for outstanding test taking skills and for an awesome GPA. Brock made the honor roll for every quarter this year. This was with 3 A.P classes!
I am such a proud Mom.
Can't leave out McKenzie! She has had A and A- grades all year. She is such a smart cookie. They don't give out awards in the intermediate school other wise she would have lots of them.

HOLE!

The pool kept loosing water so we started to dig. We found the source of the leak. Two broken pipes under the skimmer. You can see how deep we had to dig to get to them. Trent is standing straight up and he is in the hole up to his waist. Kenzie got in there to help put on new pipe. The pool is now up and running great. We just have to figure out how to get all that dirt back into the hole!

Catalina Island

Our first port was Catalina Island. When we first got off the ship it was sunny and gorgeous. By the time we got out of the first shop it was foggy and a little rainy. We still found yummy ice cream and lots of fun!

Bon Voyage

We have been talking about going on a cruise for a couple of years. Well this was the year to do it. We all cramed into the truck and went to Long Beach to board the Carnival Paradise. Four days in the ocean. No cell phones, no work, and no house work. This was one of the best vacation ideas ever!

Brian Head @ Night

There are a lot of firsts happening this year for the Fentons. Our first first was to take all the cheerleaders to the state basketball playoffs as the people in charge. It was a lot of fun and can't wait to do it again. This is the next first for us. We went to Brian Head to enjoy the snow. I was a wimp at first and wanted nothing to do with going up the mountian on a tube. Kenz talked me into it and I LOVED IT! I went 3 times. The rest of the family loved it so much more and went as many times as our hour would allow. Stay tuned for more 1st for the Fenton Family!
